NAA this Month...September

Following are the top NAA highlights for September:

First Annual Diversity & Inclusion Awareness Week

NAA’s first Annual D&I Awareness Week is happening October 11-15. Join us for five masterclass education sessions on diversity and inclusion that provide you with information on storytelling, allyship and leadership in the workplace. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and engage with other rental housing professionals on new ways to expand your company’s D&I conversation and make actionable, long-lasting changes that benefit everyone. NAA Anonymous Mental Health Survey

Mental and emotional health have always been important topics, but they have become even more so due to the challenges we all have been facing during the pandemic.  NAA is excited to announce a partnership with third-party provider Swift Bunny to conduct an anonymous, two-minute, employee mental and emotional health survey.  We will be reaching out to our contacts at all management company members to ask that they participate in this national survey, which is anonymous, easy to execute, and complimentary.  Learn more.

NAA Launches Lawsuit Seeking Damages

NAA has filed a lawsuit against the federal government seeking $26.6 billion in damages for rental housing providers who have suffered under the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) unlawful federal eviction moratorium. In light of last week’s Supreme Court ruling striking down the CDC’s order, it is now more important than ever to ensure that everyone is made whole again. More information can be found here.

The Assembly of Delegates is November 2-4 in Cincinnati

The 2021 Assembly of Delegates meeting will take place in-person at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherlands Plaza Hotel. NAA is committed to the health and safety of our members and staff and will continue to monitor and follow guidance from health agencies as we look forward to seeing everyone in Cincinnati!

Pre-Registration to the 2021 Assembly of Delegates is complimentary for all attendees who register by October 28, 2021.  There is a $50 registration fee for registrations received AFTER October 28.  Registration and details about the schedule can be found here.
