Join us on Tuesday, September 15, for our next Membership Meeting featuring guest speaker Milton Howery III, Vice President of Marketing at Memphis Tourism and Founder of Milton Memphis Entertainment. Milton will be sharing with us exciting things happening in Memphis and what we can do to help retain talent in our great city!
About the Speaker: Milton Howery III

Milton Howery III, known by many Memphians as "Milton Memphis," is a proud native of Memphis who has made a name for himself as a writer, publicist, creative, entertainment, and marketing professional. He’s the founder of The Link Up Memphis, the largest free networking event in Memphis, which has connected over 10,000 Memphians over the last 8 years.
He serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at the Downtown Memphis Commission, where he’s responsible for marketing and promoting Downtown Memphis. Prior to this role, Milton was the Vice President of Marketing at Memphis Tourism, where he led the strategic marketing of Memphis to both national and international audiences. Through his PR efforts, he’s responsible for Memphis being featured in Time Magazine's Top 100 places to visit in 2021. Before that, he was the Promotions Manager and Public Spokesperson for Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid.
Milton’s journey in the media and entertainment industry began in 2007 with Bott Radio Network and later as the Morning Show Producer for WRVR The River 104.5FM's "Mike and Mandy Morning Show." He also hosted a weekly jazz radio show on WUMR U-92FM from 2009 to 2014.
Milton served as President of PRSA Memphis in 2021, Vice President and Programming Chair in 2020, and Diversity and Inclusion Chair in 2019. He also served for six years on the PRSA Travel & Tourism Section’s Executive Committee.
Milton earned his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Memphis and an Associate Degree in Computer Engineering from Southwest Tennessee Community College. His early career achievements include being named the Top Marketing Rep-Intern by Black Entertainment Television (BET) in 2011. He has also been recognized with the Top 40 Under 40 Urban Elite Professionals Award in 2017 and the Top 40 Under 40 award from the Memphis Business Journal in 2019.
Known locally as Milton Memphis, he is deeply passionate about, dedicated to, and loyal to the city of Memphis, consistently championing all things Memphis.
