Site Safety for Multifamily Managers & Staff

Join crime prevention expert Janine Heiner Buchanan, Managing Director of SafeWays, Incorporated, and special guest, Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Beasley of the Memphis Police Department for an eye-opening and engaging exploration of safety threats at multifamily properties posed by crime in our community. The session will begin with a look at Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, which is internationally-recognized as a best practice in crime prevention. The session will also cover emergency preparation and response, including tactics for de-escalating volatile situations and recognizing and responding to signs that violence may be imminent.

We will conclude with instruction from Lt. Col. Beasley on practical self-defense tips for multifamily management and staff. You will leave this session armed with a new way of looking at your property and plenty of tools to help you minimize crime and maximize safety for yourself, your co-workers, contractors, residents, and their guests.
