Swimming Pool Maintenance

AAGM has once again partnered with HD Supply to provide FREE Maintenance classes to our members!

This 3-hour course is an introduction and overview of the tools, processes, chemistry, maintenance, and equipment used to professionally operate a residential pool to accepted safety and health standards. This class will cover how to efficiently run and maintain the major in-ground equipment and monitor the water environment for this most appreciated amenity. Fundamentals of chemical testing PH, and Disinfectant levels for pools and spas, as well as mechanical aspects will be discussed.  Topics covered in this class will include:

• Health and Safety
• Major mechanical and physical components
• Pumps, valves and filters
• Virginia Graham Baker act, equipment requirements
• Chemical Testing and Water Balance
• Filtration and Mechanical Maintenance
• Liability and Safety aspects of pool management

**Please note: This class is not a replacement for CPO training and does not carry any national recognition, however it is a good way to prepare for the Certified Pool Operator test as many of the terms and concepts on that test will be discussed.**
