July Membership Luncheon

Join us on Tuesday, July 20, for our first IN-PERSON Membership Luncheon of 2021 featuring our guest speaker Josh Kahane, Glankler Brown Attorneys. Josh will be discussing his recent victory in the case of Tiger Lily vs. the Center for Disease Control, etal.

About the Speaker:

Josh Kahane is an equity member of Glankler Brown PLLC, one of the south's oldest and most distinguished law firms.  While Josh focuses a great deal of his energy representing Memphis companies and others who have invested in the Memphis market (and serving in the executive leadership of numerous philanthropic organizations around town), his record of victory in litigating cases in 14 states—involving more than a billion dollars—has garnered Josh the reputation as a go-to litigator for real estate and business-related litigation in Memphis and across the country.

In 2020, Josh filed suit against the United States Government seeking to protect the real estate industry by striking down as unlawful the CDC’s national eviction moratorium.  In this landmark case, Josh won removing those owners and managers in the Western District of Tennessee from the CDC’s eviction moratorium and making the Western District of Tennessee the only place in the country in which evictions for non-paying tenants is permitted by law and ordered by courts.
